Educating for our Future: Protecting our Quality of Life.

• Fairfax County schools are the best in the Nation and I will do everything in my power to help keep them that way.  It is critical that we give our teachers and students the resources they need to succeed. Also, we have to make sure schools are a place where kids feel safe so they can focus on achieving their goals.
• Quality Schools are important to our economic future and a key part of our economy today. Our good schools are one of the reasons we have historically had such strong property values. We all have a vested interest in quality public schools because an investment education is an investment in our children, community, homes and future.

• I believe we have to hold the line on taxes and cut wasteful spending. Finding the balance between providing quality services, without burdening families and businesses is critical. 
• Keeping our fiscal house in order is not a Republican or Democratic idea... it’s the right idea for Virginia.

Transportation

Transportation: Driving our Economy

• Residents of Fairfax County want to spend more time with their families and less time in stuck in their cars.  And businesses need to know that our infrastructure will support future growth and jobs. This issue is too important to be caught up in political gridlock.
•  Improving transportation in Northern Virginia is and always has been a priority of mine. As a member of the Transportation Committee, I will keep working to make our roads, rails and buses safer and more accessible.

Business

Virginia is for Business: Investing in our Future and Promoting Commerce

• Virginia is a great place to do business and we need to keep it that way.  That starts with investing in our infrastructure and community—but doing so in a fiscally responsible manner.
• It will be difficult to grow our economy and create new jobs if we add any additional burden to working families, small businesses or debt to our Commonwealth. 
• Our state's AAA bond rating is a testament to fiscal restraint we have exercised, which is helping us to emerge from this recession. By acting responsibly we have created an environment for commerce and economic growth.
